International Dance Festival lights up Imperial Citadel

The 2024 International Dance Festival, held from August 17 to 21 in the historic city of Hue, brought together nearly 500 artists from 17 art troupes representing nine countries – Laos, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The festival featured a diverse range of performances, from short dances to dance poetry and dance dramas, showcasing folk, classical, and modern styles. Over five nights of captivating performances, the festival awarded five gold and 10 silver medals to the most outstanding acts.

The dance performances were rich in cultural expression, reflecting the vibrant and diverse traditions of the participating countries and ethnic groups. Each performance offered a creative and vivid portrayal of societal and cultural life, deeply resonating with audiences and leaving a lasting impression.
