HCMC – The existing My Phuoc-Tan Van road has been proposed for conversion into a 15.3-kilometer expressway linking HCMC and neighboring Binh Duong Province.

The US$1-billion project is expected to ease traffic congestion on the HCMC Beltway No. 3 when it is opened to traffic.

Initially the expressway would have four lanes and be expanded to eight lanes in the subsequent phase.

The expressway will start at the Tan Van interchange, which intersects with the HCMC Beltway No. 3 and Hanoi Highway, and will end at the Binh Chuan interchange, intersecting the HCMC Beltway No. 3 and My Phuoc-Tan Van Road.

The project will utilize surplus funds from other components of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 and central Government funding, as proposed by the Binh Duong Department of Transport.
