HCMC – The government of HCMC has finalized the prefeasibility study for HCMC Beltway No. 4 and submitted it to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

With a total length of nearly 207 kilometers, HCMC Beltway No. 4 will pass through HCMC and its four neighboring provinces – Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The Long An section is the longest, 78 kilometers, followed by Binh Duong with 48 kilometers, Dong Nai with 45.6 kilometers, Ba Ria-Vung Tau with 18.2 kilometers, and HCMC with 16.7 kilometers.

In collaboration with other provincial authorities, the HCMC government reviewed and finalized the comprehensive prefeasibility study, which now puts the total cost of the project at nearly VND137 trillion, an increase of almost VND9 trillion from previous projections.

The project would get over VND42.5 trillion from the central Government, nearly VND33.6 trillion from provincial government budgets, and the remainder from private investors.

The first phase of the project will feature four lanes, plus an emergency stopping lane throughout the route.

After a review, the project file would be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration during its next session in October. If approved, construction is expected to begin next year, with completion planned within three years.
