HCMC – Vietnam’s digital industry has stayed on its high growth path, with revenue hitting a record US$118 billion so far this year, rising by 17.78% against the same period last year.
The data was announced by Nguyen Khac Lich, director of the Authority of ICT Industry and Communications under the Ministry of Information and Communications, at the recent Top 10 Vietnam Digital Technology Companies award ceremony.
Organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), the event aimed to recognize leading digital enterprises in Vietnam and facilitate partnerships between domestic and international companies.
Data showed that Vietnam’s digital sector has demonstrated resilience despite global challenges. In the year to date, revenue from software and IT services has amounted to US$6.64 billion, a 9.86% year-on-year rise.
Vietnam is now home to over 51,000 digital enterprises, employing more than 1.5 million people. Some 1,500 of these companies generate revenue from foreign markets, with software and IT services emerging as a key competitive advantage.
Ngo Dien Hy, vice president of VINASA, underscored the leading role of digital companies in driving Vietnam’s digital transformation. He stressed the importance of identifying top-performing companies that can foster stronger collaboration among the Government, businesses, and international partners.
This year’s awards saw 192 nominations from 140 enterprises across the country. The top 10 winners collectively generated over US$4.7 billion in revenue and employed more than 75,000 people.
