HCMC – Vietnam Airlines inaugurated a direct service between Hanoi and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on October 27, becoming the only Vietnamese carrier to offer the nonstop service between the two capitals.
The inaugural flight, VN923, departed Noi Bai International Airport at 5:10 p.m. and arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport at 7:05 p.m.
The air carrier operates four weekly services on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A321 aircraft, with a flight duration of one hour and 55 minutes.
With this new route, Vietnam Airlines now operates five routes between Vietnam and Cambodia, offering a total of 86 flights per week to meet increasing regional travel demand.
Over the past 30 years, the airline has transported nearly 8.2 million passengers and 28,400 tons of cargo on more than 81,000 flights between the two countries.
