HCMC – The 17th annual SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship program concluded on November 18, awarding 200 scholarships worth a total of VND3 billion to outstanding university students and school children across Vietnam.
The program, organized in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, and the HCMC Student Assistance Center (SAC), aims to support academically gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This year’s recipients included 100 university students and 100 pupils, all recognized for their outstanding academic achievements, passion for learning, and dedication to community service despite challenging circumstances.
Beyond financial aid, the program emphasized fostering a sustainable mindset among participants. Students benefited from a range of activities, including online Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) training, workshops, guest speaker sessions, and factory visits, offering them practical, hands-on experiences.
The program also introduced initiatives like the ASEAN ESG Ambassadors competition, which allowed scholars from across ASEAN countries to showcase their knowledge and interact with peers at the regional ESG Symposium in Thailand.
