HCMC – Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni arrived in Hanoi this morning, November 28, starting his two-day State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnam’s State President Luong Cuong.
President Luong Cuong is set to hold a state welcome ceremony this afternoon at the Presidential Palace in honor of King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia. The two leaders will then hold talks.
During the visit, King Norodom Sihamoni is expected to have separate meetings with Vietnam’s top leaders, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship based on the principle of good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-lasting sustainability.
Since ascending to the throne on October 29, 2004, King Norodom Sihamoni has visited Vietnam three times— in 2006, 2012, and 2018. This marks his fourth visit to the country.
The visit will contribute to strengthening political trust between the two sides, promoting cooperation in economic, cultural, educational, and other fields.
