HCMC – The Politburo has issued disciplinary warnings against former Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and former Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, as well as a reprimand against Truong Thi Mai, secretary of the Party Central Committee.
On December 13, the Politburo convened at the Party Central Committee headquarters to review and enforce disciplinary actions against senior Party members for violations and shortcomings.
After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that Nguyen Xuan Phuc, during his time as a Politburo member, secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Government, and Prime Minister, had violated the Party and State regulations in carrying out his duties and responsibilities, particularly in the areas of corruption prevention and combating negative behaviors.
He also broke the don’ts for Party members and failed the responsibility to lead by example, leading to serious consequences, negative public opinion, and harming the reputation of the Party and the State.
Truong Thi Mai, during her tenure as a member of the Politburo, secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, violated the Party and State regulations in carrying out her duties and responsibilities.
She breached the rules on controlling power in personnel work, the regulations on actions prohibited for Party members, and the duty to set an example, resulting in serious consequences and damaging the reputation of the Party and the State.
Truong Hoa Binh, during his time as a member of the Politburo, deputy secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee, and Standing Deputy Prime Minister, was negligent in leadership and direction.
He violated Party and State regulations in carrying out his duties and responsibilities, particularly in the areas of corruption prevention and combating negative behaviors. He breached the regulations on actions prohibited for party members and the responsibility to set an example, resulting in serious consequences, negative public opinion, and damaging the reputation of the Party and the State.
Given the violations of the above-mentioned Party members, and in accordance with the Party’s regulations on disciplining members who violate the rules, the Politburo has decided to issue a warning to Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Truong Hoa Binh, and a reprimand to Truong Thi Mai.
