Tael Two Partners Ltd wants to sell five million Vinasun shares

HCMC – Tael Two Partners Ltd, a major shareholder of Vietnam Sun Corporation, or Vinasun, (HOSE: VNS), has registered to sell its entire holding of five million VNS shares.

Transactions are expected to be conducted between December 19, 2024 and January 17, 2025.

On December 13, Tael Two Partners Ltd sold over 1.44 million VNS shares out of more than 6.44 million shares registered, reducing its ownership from 6.44 million shares (9.49% of charter capital) to five million shares (7.37%).

Regarding Vinasun’s business performance, in Q3 of 2024, the company recorded revenue of VND246.22 billion, down by 21.2%, and after-tax profit of VND20.98 billion, a decrease of 36.1% against the same period last year.

Tran Anh Minh, deputy CEO of the firm, explained that the decline in Q3 profit was due to a 21% drop in revenue, while the company continued to provide additional support for drivers and partners.

Regarding the stock market today, December 18, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 4.28 points, or 0.34%, against the previous day at 1,266 points, with 245 winners and 130 losers.

Nearly 531.5 million shares worth VND12.75 trillion were transacted, up by 5% in both volume and value versus the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed around VND3.9 trillion to the overall value.

The VN30 basket ended the session with a slight increase of 2.2 points, with 18 stocks rising and only seven declining. Among the top gainers were POW, up by 2%, HPG, up by 1.3%, and PLX, up by 1%.

VIX led the market in liquidity, with around 13.45 million shares changing hands.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index inched up by 0.54 point, or 0.24% against yesterday’s session, at 227.43 points, with 79 stocks advancing and 67 declining. The total trading volume reached nearly 39 million shares wroth a total of VND690.8 billion.
