Land clearance for Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway progresses

HCMC – Authorities in Dong Nai Province have completed around 80% of the land clearance required for the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, reported the local media reports.

The Compensation, Site Clearance, and Resettlement Management Board of Dong Nai said that nearly 60 hectares of land in Bien Hoa City, impacting over 1,500 cases, need to be reclaimed. So far, around 45 hectares, or 75% of the total, have been cleared. Compensation and support plans for over 1,100 cases, valued at nearly VND1.45 trillion, have been approved.

In Long Thanh District, where the expressway spans 28 kilometers, approximately 230 hectares of land involving over 2,700 cases are required. Reports indicate that 90% of the land clearance in the district has been completed, with all compensation plans finalized.

The 54-kilometer expressway, which passes through 34 kilometers of Dong Nai, has seen land clearance progress reach 90% in Long Thanh District and 75% in Bien Hoa City.

Contractors have received 90% of the cleared land for a 10-kilometer section under construction package 21. The consortium managing this segment has deployed 350 workers and machinery, with 14 active construction sites. This package is scheduled for completion by December 2025.
