Huu Nghi border gate to suspend trade during Lunar New Year holiday

HCMC – The Huu Nghi International Border Gate and the specialized transport route at Tan Thanh will temporarily halt customs clearance from January 28 to 31 in observance of China’s Lunar New Year holiday, according to local media reports.

The Dong Dang-Lang Son Economic Zone Management Board has confirmed the suspension, adding that from February 1 to 4, customs clearance will be limited to pre-registered shipments. Regular operations are scheduled to resume on February 5.

Other border points in Lang Son Province will also close during the holiday period. The Coc Nam sub-gate and the Chi Ma bilateral border gate will suspend operations from January 28 to February 4, reopening on February 5.

Authorities have notified relevant agencies and businesses to adjust their import and export schedules accordingly.
