Gasoline down, diesel up during Tet

HCMC – Gasoline prices were revised down while diesel and other fuels rose in the price adjustment with effect from 3:00 p.m. today, February 1.

According to the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by VND140 to VND21,002 per liter, and E5 RON-92 bio-gasoline inched down by VND201 to VND20,391 per liter.

Diesel oil rose by VND948 to VND19,246 per liter while kerosene fell by VND671 to VND19,439 per liter.

Heavy fuel oil prices inched up by VND250 to VND17,502 per kilogram.

During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to impose a surcharge on fuels.

Fuel prices are typically adjusted every Thursday. However, this week’s adjustment was moved to Saturday, February 1, as Thursday fell on January 30, or the second day of the Lunar New Year.
