HCMC – The Politburo under the Party Central Committee has decided to exempt K-12 students at public schools nationwide from tuition fees as from the 2025-2026 school year which starts in September.
The decision was made at a Politburo meeting held in Hanoi today, February 28, to review the implementation of Resolution 18, which aims to streamline the political system to improve efficiency.
After assessing the Government’s financial feasibility report on budget balances amid ongoing administrative reforms, the Politburo agreed to fully waive tuition fees for public school students from kindergarten to grade 12 across the country.
The Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, and other relevant agencies have been tasked to implement the policy.
