HCMC – Vietnam is set to begin work on two more expressway projects by the end of next month, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The Thang Long Project Management Board is finalizing procedures to break ground on the Dau Giay–Tan Phu Expressway in Dong Nai Province on May 19.

The project will be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP), with a total length of over 60 kilometers. It will connect the intersection with National Highway 1 in Dau Giay Town to the intersection with National Highway 20 in Tan Phu District, Dong Nai.

The total cost is estimated at more than VND8.4 trillion, with VND7.1 trillion coming from the investor and around VND1.3 trillion from the state budget. A domestic consortium comprising Truong Hai Traffic Infrastructure Development and Son Hai Group has been selected to carry out the project.

Meanwhile, the La Son–Hoa Lien Expressway is in the bidding phase, with tenders scheduled to open on May 10, according to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.

Construction is expected to commence at the end of May, pending successful completion of the tender process.

The La Son–Hoa Lien project spans nearly 65 kilometers, starting from the end of the Cam Lo–La Son Expressway in La Son town, Hue City, and ending at the Hoa Lien interchange in Danang City.

The project has a preliminary investment cost of over VND3 trillion and is funded by public investment.
