A satellite site of the Buon D’Ham of Ea Bong Primary School in Dak Lak Province has officially reopened after a year of renovation, thanks to support from local authorities, Tan Hiep Phat Group, Lao Dong newspaper, and other donors.
The handover ceremony took place on June 9 in Ea Bong Commune, Krong Ana District. Despite heavy rain, more than 200 teachers, students, and parents attended the event to celebrate the upgraded school facility.
Nguyen Thanh Vu, chairman of the Krong Ana District People’s Committee, expressed his appreciation to the donors, especially the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. “Upgrading this school not only creates better learning conditions for ethnic minority children but also boosts morale among teachers,” he said.

According to local authorities, the renovated classrooms and schoolyard now meet the design standards and provide a more comfortable environment for teaching and learning.
Speaking at the event, Vu Phuong Thanh, a representative of Tan Hiep Phat, said the company had contributed VND500 million to the project. “We are honored to join hands with Lao Dong newspaper and local authorities to build and improve this facility so that teachers can teach with peace of mind and students can enjoy coming to a more spacious and well-equipped school,” she said.

As one of Vietnam’s leading beverage manufacturers, Tan Hiep Phat emphasized its commitment to social welfare and improving education infrastructure. According to Thanh, the company is deeply aware of its role in supporting community development, especially by creating safe and supportive environments for children to learn and grow.

In addition to its portfolio of health-oriented beverages such as Zero Degree Green Tea, Dr Thanh herbal tea, Number 1 Soya Calcium, and Number 1 Energy Drink, the company has actively collaborated with various departments, agencies, and organizations nationwide over the past 30 years to implement sponsorship programs, award scholarships, and provide gifts and visits, creating a safe, healthy, and caring learning environment where students can develop comprehensively, both intellectually and physically.
On this occasion, Principal Nguyen Thi Sinh of Ea Bong Primary School extended her heartfelt thanks to all the delegates and donors who attended the ceremony. With equipment still lacking, the school hopes to receive more attention, support, and investment from generous donors and local authorities in the future.

At the event, donors also awarded 40 scholarships, each worth VND500,000, to students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Ea Bong Primary School, nestled in Ea Bong Commune, Krong Ana District, Dak Lak Province, serves a predominantly ethnic minority student population, with nearly all of its students coming from these communities, reported the Daklak news website (baodaklak.vn). The school operates with a main campus in Knul village and two additional satellite sites in Dham and 10/3 villages. The recent renovation of the Buon D’Ham site represents a vital part of ongoing efforts to improve the educational environment for these deserving students.
Tan Hiep Phat’s commitment to social responsibility extends beyond educational support, actively engaging in various initiatives focused on environmental protection and broader community development.
Since 2010, Tan Hiep Phat has implemented the 3Rs model (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to minimize its environmental footprint. This critical initiative has helped the company reduce over 70,000 tons of plastic between 2013 and 2022, with an ambitious goal to reduce over 112,000 tons by 2027. Demonstrating its dedication to sustainable practices, Tan Hiep Phat inaugurated a recycling plant within its production complex in Hau Giang in 2021. Furthermore, the company has consistently invested in advanced technologies to optimize water usage and significantly reduce waste in its production processes, showcasing a comprehensive approach to environmental conservation.
Tan Hiep Phat’s “Drops of Gratitude” initiative provides essential support to communities facing challenges such as drought and salt intrusion in the Mekong Delta. In a collaboration with local authorities in 2024, the group generously donated 200,000 cases of Number 1 purified bottled water and 620 blocks of fresh water for people in communes of Ben Tre and Tien Giang provinces, directly addressing critical needs.
The company has consistently supported vulnerable populations, exemplified by their long-term care for about 50 children orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic in HCMC and Binh Duong Province through its “Walking forward with you” program, ensuring their well-being until they reach 18 years of age.
Beyond immediate relief, Tan Hiep Phat has invested in crucial infrastructure development, building nearly 30 durable cable-stayed steel bridges in various provinces in the Mekong Delta. These bridges significantly improve safety and facilitate travel for children and residents, enhancing connectivity and accessibility. The company also actively champions education through its scholarship programs, awarding scholarships to underprivileged students to encourage them to pursue their academic goals. For instance, in October 2024, the company partnered with the Binh Duong Youth Union to award 200 scholarships to students in need, reinforcing their commitment to fostering educational opportunities.
Tan Hiep Phat places children at the heart of its social responsibility efforts. Alongside celebrations for World Children’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lunar New Year, the company prioritizes long-term educational support through scholarship and talent development programs.
The group’s initiatives include monthly support for 11 shelters in Binh Duong Province and HCMC, launched in March 2023, and the “Connecting with Love – Raising Steps to School” program, which has awarded thousands of scholarships to disadvantaged students in provinces like Binh Duong, Hau Giang, Quang Nam, and Ha Nam.
Over nearly three decades, Tan Hiep Phat has carried out meaningful projects such as “Bridge of dreams,” “Golden bell,” “Drops of gratitude,” and the “Vietnamese benevolence fund”. These efforts highlight Tan Hiep Phat’s focus on children, education, and environmental sustainability, core values that underpin the company’s commitment to creating lasting, positive impact in the community.
In 2025, Tan Hiep Phat continues to expand its philanthropic programs, aiming to support more underprivileged children and students. The company’s contributions not only help provide a more stable life for young people but also empower them to pursue their dreams through education, reflecting Vietnam’s long-standing tradition of compassion and solidarity.
