KBC to build new industrial park

HCMC – Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (HOSE: KBC) has received approval to build and operate a new industrial park in the northern province of Hai Duong, which was recently merged into Haiphong City.

The Binh Giang Industrial Park will span 147.9 hectares and need a total investment of over VND1.75 trillion.

Competent authorities have approved the investment policy and selected KBC as the project investor under Decision No. 2286, issued on June 20.

The park is located near the Hanoi–Haiphong Expressway. Construction is expected to be completed within 30 months. The project will have an operational term of 50 years.

The park will host high-tech, automation, electronics, telecommunications, and other clean industries. It is expected to create around 10,000 jobs once operational.

Closing the trading session today, July 2, KBC rose 3.43% to VND27,150, with nearly 9.8 million shares changing hands.

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index ended higher on Wednesday, supported by strong gains in brokerage stocks.

The VN-Index gained 6.75 points, or 0.49%, to 1,384.59 points, with 204 winners and 109 losers. Trading volume and value improved 14.7% and 6.8% over the previous session, with 934.8 million shares worth VND22.45 trillion. Block deals accounted for 71 million shares valued at VND2.61 trillion.

Brokerage stocks performed well. VIX took the lead in liquidity with nearly 121 million shares traded and closed at the ceiling price of VND13,650. SSI followed with 41.27 million shares, ending up 4.29% at VND25,500.

VND traded 34.45 million shares, closing at VND17,500. HCM recorded 22.33 million shares and ended at the ceiling price of VND22,700. SHB was the only non-brokerage stock in the five most actively traded stocks, with 38.44 million shares changing hands.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index advanced 3.17 points, or 1.39%, to 231.62 points. Trading volume increased 32% to 105.9 million shares, while value jumped 35.7% to VND1.91 trillion.
