HCMC – Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left Hanoi on July 4 for the 2025 BRICS+ Summit in Brazil, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

His July 4-8 trip at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva marks Vietnam’s first participation in a BRICS summit as a partner country.

Chinh is accompanied by his spouse, Le Thi Bich Tran, and a delegation of ministers, deputy ministers, and leaders of key government agencies.

Vietnam’s participation signals its intention to engage more actively in multilateral frameworks and enhance cooperation with BRICS members.

This is Chinh’s third visit to Brazil in three years in his capacity as prime minister of Vietnam. During the trip, he is also scheduled to hold talks with senior Brazilian officials to strengthen ties in trade, investment, and other areas.

Brazil is Vietnam’s largest trading partner in Latin America and a strategic partner in the region.
