HCMC – The Government has allocated VND1.2 trillion to Dong Nai Province to build an external drainage system for Long Thanh International Airport, reported the local media.
According to the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, the project is aimed at improving flood control and ensuring synchonized infrastructure when the airport begins operations. This urgent project will be implemented soon after necessary procedures are completed.
With the newly allocated budget, the province plans to consult relevant agencies, finalize documents, and start construction within this year, with substantial completion targeted before September next year.
The drainage system will involve dredging, embankment reinforcement, and concreting nearly 20 kilometers of the Bung Mon and Da Vang streams. It will also include pipelines from five retention ponds inside the airport to the two streams, construction of five bridges, and almost 17 kilometers of rural road along both sides of the streams.
