HCMC — An exhibition featuring more than 300 books, publications, photos, and documents opened in HCMC on October 13 to mark the first Congress of the HCMC Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Organized by the HCMC Department of Culture and Sports, the event runs from October 13 to 15 at the HCMC Cadre Academy where the first Congress of the 2025-2030 HCMC Party Committee is taking place. It highlights the development of Vietnam’s journalism and publishing industries during the digital transformation period.

The exhibition aims to recognize the contributions of national and local media and publishing agencies to the city’s growth. It also features special publications released by several media organizations to celebrate the Party Congress.

The display combines traditional and digital elements, offering visitors a look at the evolution of the press and publishing sectors. Notable installations include book sculptures depicting landmarks such as Nha Rong Wharf, the DK1 platform, and the Binh Duong Administration Center.

Digital publishing projects such as Ho Chi Minh: A Pictorial Biography, Vietnamese History in Pictures, and Ho Chi Minh’s Heritage are presented in e-book, audiobook, and mobile app formats. Integrated newsrooms and AI-powered broadcast systems are also on display, reflecting the industry’s shift toward data-driven and multi-platform journalism.

The exhibition runs under the theme “Journalism and Publishing Accompany the City’s Development.” It is part of a broader effort to showcase HCMC’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation.

A separate science and technology exhibition also opened the same day, featuring nearly 30 booths and more than 650 products and solutions across 11 technology sectors.

The first HCMC Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, attended by 550 delegates, will officially open on October 14 and conclude on October 15.
