HCMC – Honda Vietnam reported a decline in motorcycle and automobile sales in September this year as consumer demand weakened, reported local media.

The company sold more than 163,000 motorcycles in September, down 11.4% from a year earlier. Average daily sales reached nearly 5,500 units.

Motorcycle exports totaled over 17,000 units, continuing to contribute to Vietnam’s two-wheeler export revenue.

From April to September, the first half of its 2025–2026 fiscal year, Honda Vietnam sold more than one million motorcycles, roughly unchanged from the same period last year.

In the automobile segment, sales plunged 52.8% year-on-year to 1,704 units in September, reflecting poor market demand. Cumulative auto sales since April had reached over 11,700 units, up 1.8% from a year earlier.

Honda Vietnam said it continues to maintain stable operations and strengthen its position in the domestic motorcycle market despite challenges from rising competition and the ongoing shift toward electrification.
