HCMC — The German state of Hessen is ready to cooperate with Vietnam in developing international financial centers, according to the state’s Minister of Science, Research, Arts and Culture, Timon Gremmels.

Gremmels made the statement during a meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh in Hanoi City on October 21, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

He said Hessen would support Vietnam through training, consulting, and promotional activities to attract German investors to the planned financial hubs.

Deputy PM Binh said the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany had expanded across politics, economics, education, and science and technology. He called for stronger cooperation in developing international financial centers and in labor and employment, citing Germany’s demand for healthcare and technical workers and Vietnam’s labor potential.

Gremmels added that many German businesses see Vietnam as an attractive investment destination and expressed hope for favorable conditions to strengthen long-term cooperation between the two countries.
