The Anam Foundation has delivered urgent humanitarian aid to families affected by severe flooding across south-central Vietnam, distributing hundreds of relief packages and providing financial assistance to some of the region’s most vulnerable households.
The foundation, founded by The Anam Group’s chairman Pham Van Hien, has handed out about 700 relief packages to residents in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak, regions heavily affected by recent floods.
In Khanh Hoa, volunteers distributed 200 packages of essential goods like rice, cooking oil, and canned foods, each weighing about 10 kilograms. The effort was supported by local authorities, including the Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nha Trang Ward. Disadvantaged families received additional cash support of VND2 million per household.
The foundation also went to Dak Lak to deliver 500 more relief packages and provide financial help to households whose homes were destroyed in the floods. These efforts came after previous aid distributions in Cam Lam Commune.
Separately, the foundation provided financial assistance to staff at The Anam Cam Ranh affected by the flood. Many employees come from impacted areas and have suffered property damage and financial losses.
The group said that the total amount of aid distributed so far exceeds VND500 million, with additional volunteer activities scheduled, including large-scale clean-up efforts.
