CAN THO – Toll revenue at the Rach Mieu Bridge BOT station on National Highway 60, Vinh long Province, fell 66.7% in November 2025 against July, after traffic shifted to the newly opened Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, according to the Department for Roads of Vietnam (DRVN).
The DRVN said toll revenue at the station reached VND7.75 billion in November, with 273,625 vehicles passing through. Vehicle volume dropped 59.8% compared with July 2025, when Rach Mieu 2 had not yet begun operations.
Rach Mieu 2 started service on August 19, 2025. In August, toll revenue at the original Rach Mieu Bridge stood at VND18.02 billion, with 544,849 vehicles. Revenue then fell to VND7.85 billion in September with 275,125 vehicles, and VND7.46 billion in October with 265,602 vehicles.
Earlier in 2025, the toll station recorded much higher figures. Revenue reached nearly VND24 billion in January with 755,749 vehicles, VND21.55 billion in February with 629,595 vehicles, and VND23.53 billion in March with 664,334 vehicles. From April to June, monthly revenue averaged around VND23 billion, with about 650,000 vehicle crossings per month.

The DRVN said the decline coincided with the opening of Rach Mieu 2, as vehicles shifted to the new route.
Rach Mieu 2 connects Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces and spans 17.6 kilometers, including a nearly two-kilometer cable-stayed bridge over the Tien River. The bridge has four lanes.
The project cost VND6.81 trillion and was funded by the central Government budget. It starts at Dong Tam intersection, linking National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 870 in Dong Thap, and connects to National Highway 60 near the northern approach of Ham Luong Bridge in Vinh Long.
