Health Ministry issues urgent directive on EV71 outbreak risk

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health has issued an urgent directive requiring hospitals nationwide to strengthen prevention and treatment measures against hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) following a rapid rise in cases and the detection of the high-virulence Enterovirus 71 (EV71) strain.
