HCMC – The Health Ministry has reported three new Covid-19 patients this morning, August 13, including two locally-transmitted cases in Quang Nam Province and one imported case in Bac Lieu Province, taking Vietnam’s tally to 883 cases to date.
The imported case is a 40-year-old Hanoian woman. She was put in quarantine in Bac Lieu after arriving home from Saudi Arabia on August 9. She is being treated at Bac Lieu General Hospital in the Mekong Delta.
The remaining two patients, including a 51-year-old man residing in HCMC and an 83-year-old resident of Quang Nam, had direct contact with previous confirmed cases in Quang Nam. They are under treatment at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
Since July 25, the number of locally-transmitted cases linked to the Danang coronavirus hotspot has amounted to 421.
Of the country’s total infections, 409 cases have fully recovered, 457 are under treatment, and 17 have died.
