HCMC – Local carrier Bamboo Airways will launch air services on the two routes of HCMC-Rach Gia and Rach Gia-Phu Quoc at the beginning of 2022, said the carrier’s representative.
Two months after the carrier resumed the Hanoi-Rach Gia direct service, the number of passengers has increased, especially during the year-end period. Each flight served 60-70 passengers on average, the representative added.
During the upcoming Christmas, New Year and Tet holidays, the volume of air passengers is forecast to soar sharply. Accordingly, Bamboo Airways will increase the frequency of flights between the capital city of Hanoi and Rach Gia in Kien Giang Province to 4-7 weekly flights.
Bamboo Airways is currently operating a wide air route network covering many major destinations, such as the HCMC-Dien Bien, Hanoi-Rach Gia or direct routes to Con Dao Island off Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, creating favorable conditions for passengers to travel faster.
Early this month, the carrier announced an increase in the flight frequency on multiple domestic routes linking Hanoi and HCMC with other localities to meet the rising travel demand among passengers in the year-end period.
Aside from the flight frequency increase, the carrier has also strictly complied with anti-Covid measures as required by the authorities to ensure the safety of passengers during the pandemic.
