HCMC – AEON Vietnam has begun work on AEON Tan An in Long An Province, the company’s first shopping center in the Mekong Delta and its eighth nationwide.
AEON Tan An is expected to serve residents of Long An and neighboring areas, offering a wide range of products and services and modern shopping facilities.
The mall, covering an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, is slated to open in late 2025.
“AEON Tan An Shopping Center marks a significant milestone in AEON Group’s accelerated expansion strategy in Vietnam,” said Furusawa Yasuyuki, general director of AEON Vietnam. “The shopping center is expected to offer nearly 600 job opportunities for the local community and contribute to the overall economic development of Long An Province.”
Nguyen Van Ut, chairman of the Long An People’s Committee, underscored the project’s potential to boost the province’s trade and service sector, create jobs, and enhance domestic consumption.
Ono Masuo, consul general of Japan in HCMC, expressed his hope that the shopping center would bring Japanese products and culture closer to Vietnamese consumers.
