An Cuong Wood obtains 2022 business targets

HCMC – An Cuong Wood – Working JSC wrapped up 2022 seeing its revenue and profit surpassing its targets for the year.

The company said in its Q4/2022 financial report that it booked more than VND1.3 trillion in revenue and VND170 billion in profit in the final quarter last year, improving 27% and 10% against the same period last year.

As for the whole year, the wood processor saw its 2022 revenue reaching nearly VND4.48 trillion and profit at VND615 billion, respectively, the highest in its operation history.

The company earlier targeted a little more than VND4.24 trillion in revenue and VND550 billion in net profit. Given business results, its revenue and profit exceeded the targets by 5% and 11.8%, respectively.

At its extraordinary general meeting held in December last year, Le Duc Nghia, chairman of An Cuong, said the firm had taken into account global and local economic challenges and had high hopes that it would achieve growth under the tough circumstances.

The chairman added that lots of housing projects have been handed over to homebuyers at present but their furniture remained incomplete. Thus, this would be an opportunity for the company in distributing products such as Malocca and AConcept to approach customers in the upcoming time.

An Cuong debuted its ACG shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange on October 10, 2022.

Closing the trading session today, February 3, ACG inched up 0.88% against the previous session at VND45,600 per share.

With 185 winners and 216 losers, the benchmark VN-Index of HOSE shed a slight 0.44 points, or a fractional 0.04% over the session earlier at 1,077.15.

The southern exchange saw more than 560 million shares valued at VND10.7 trillion changing hands, contracting some 11% in volume and 2.3% in value compared to the previous session. Shares traded in block deals accounted for over VND1.5 trillion of the total value.

Many stocks in the VN30 basket dragged the VN-Index as they reversed course to close lower or extended losses and ended at their intraday lows, such as mobile phone retailer MWG plunging 4.2%, lender TCB slipping 3.2%, and low-cost carrier VJC and tech giant FPT losing over 2% each.

Meanwhile, property developer NVL expanded 5.3%, with a matching volume of over 20 million shares. Besides, fuel distributor PLX and lender VIB advanced 3% each.

Trade on the Hanoi exchange also turned pale. With 79 advancers and 82 decliners, the HNX-Index closed almost unchanged at 215.28 points.
