HCMC – A 51-year-old woman was confirmed dead at Hoa Vang Field Hospital in Danang City this morning, August 27, due to pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock, multi-organ failure, hypertension and chronic kidney disease, according to the Ministry of Health.
This is the 30th Covid-19 fatality to have been announced since the start of the coronavirus outbreak.
The resident of Danang City had a medical history of end-stage chronic kidney failure, hypertension and heart failure.
Up to now, Vietnam has reported a total of 1,034 Covid-19 cases, with 632 patients having made a full recovery and been discharged from hospitals. Among 30 critically ill patients, over 10 patients are expected to succumb to Covid-19.
