HCMC – Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Finance Investment JSC (VIDIFI) has sought approval to invest in the expansion of some eastern sections of the North-South Expressway under a public-private partnership (PPP).
The firm proposed expanding six sections of the expressway, including Mai Son-National Highway 45, National Highway 45-Nghi Son, Nghi Son-Dien Chau, Bai Vot-Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi-Vung Ang, and Vung Ang-Bung, with a total estimated cost of nearly VND45.4 trillion.
It has worked with the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) to form a consortium for the plan. SCIC, known for its strong financial capacity, manages state capital in many major enterprises.
Vidifi is also looking for additional capable investors to jointly develop the project.

Son Hai proposed expanding the 263-kilometer section from Hoai Nhon in Binh Dinh to Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa, while Deo Ca recommended widening 19 expressway subprojects with a total length of about 1,241 kilometers.
