Among the standout events at the international hospitality fair FHA-HoReCa was the Asian Gelato Cup, a “cool” and much-anticipated competition held from October 23-24, 2024, at Singapore Expo. The event drew nine national teams from across Asia, including chefs from India, Indonesia, Japan, Maldives, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. These teams showcased their skills in crafting gelato masterpieces, competing for the chance to represent Asia at the Gelato World Cup in Rimini, Italy, in 2025. This was not an ordinary ice cream contest. As Guest Judge Sergio Dondoli enthusiastically declared at each photo op, it was all about the art of “GE-LA-TO!” The teams’ dedication and creativity were met with excitement from the audience, who eagerly watched as unique flavors and concepts came to life.
