Con Dao Islands off mainland Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province arguably has the largest population of sea turtles in Vietnam. Therefore, to keep the island clean and green is a way to help protect the sea creature as they can be killed when mistaking plastic waste for a viable food.
Under the summer sunshine, this group of volunteers was on board a boat traveling to Con Dao Islands to do the tasks sup-posed to be done by a sea turtle protector. The guests spent 10 days cleaning up beaches and collecting turtle eggs for incubation. What they did lent a hand with the conservation of sea turtles which are listed in the Red-Book.
