HCMC – The Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien metro line will add more trains and extend daily operating hours to accommodate higher commuter demand and public activities during the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation.

The Public Transport Management Center has written to the HCMC Department of Transport regarding the revised schedule for the metro line’s services from April 25 to May 5.

Accordingly, on April 25, 28, and 29, trains will operate from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. with 210 trips per day, 10 more than usual. The interval between trains will range from 8 to 12 minutes.

On April 26, 27, and from May 1 to 4, the metro line will maintain its 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. schedule, with increased frequency to serve higher passenger demand during the city’s holiday events.

On April 30, trains will begin operating at 4:30 a.m. and the number of trips will be further increased.

In addition to the metro, the city has also adjusted bus schedules to better match travel demand during the holiday. Several bus routes have been strengthened to serve key transit hubs, particularly the newly opened Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
