HCMC — The central province of Binh Dinh has welcomed over 800 tourists from major cities, including Hanoi, HCMC, Danang, and Hue, through a free train service initiative commemorating the 50th anniversary of the province’s liberation.

On March 29, a train carrying 160 tourists arrived at Dieu Tri Station. The Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized a reception for the visitors, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

The SE07 train departed from Hanoi at 6:10 a.m. on March 28 and reached Dieu Tri at 5:00 a.m. on March 29. This complimentary service is part of the province’s plan to attract visitors and offer a distinctive travel experience.

To enhance the occasion, the Binh Dinh Travel Association has introduced two discounted tours named “Epic Journey” and “Martial Arts Essence.” These new tourism products are designed exclusively for train travelers, aiming to showcase the region’s cultural heritage and scenic landscapes.

The initiative also serves as a promotional effort to highlight Binh Dinh’s tourism potential. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in various cultural and commemorative events during the celebration period.

In this round of free train journeys, Binh Dinh expects to receive more than 800 visitors. On March 28, the SE32 train left HCMC at 9:30 p.m. and arrived in Quy Nhon at 11:00 a.m. with 460 tourists on board. Another service, the SE05, departed Hanoi at 3:30 p.m. and reached Dieu Tri Station at 3:00 p.m. the next day with 160 travelers.

Binh Dinh aims to attract 10 million visitors in 2025, including five million overnight stays and 110,000 international tourists. The province projects tourism revenue of VND27 trillion by the end of next year.
