HCMC – The northern province of Bac Ninh has passed a plan to develop the Kenh Vang bridge and approach roads to link it with neighboring Hai Duong Province at a total cost of over VND1.7 trillion.

Of the total capital, over VND1.2 trillion will be used for construction, VND300 billion for site clearance and the rest for other costs, the local media reported.

The bridge and road project, with a total length of 13.4 kilometers, will start in Gia Binh District in Bac Ninh Province and end at an intersection with National Highway 37 in Hai Duong Province.

The Bac Ninh Traffic Project Construction Management Board, the investor of the project, started selecting a contractor for the project and stepped up action to survey the site and create a design, according to the Bac Ninh Department of Transport.

The investor is also working with local authorities and relevant units to conduct site clearance and compensation processes for the project.

When in place, the project, which is set to get off the ground in late 2022, will help boost the economic connectivity of the two provinces.
