HCMC – A series of business-matching conferences between HCMC and other localities kicked off at the Phu Tho Indoor Sports Stadium in HCMC yesterday afternoon, November 17, according to the local media.
It comprises 500 booths of over 1,000 enterprises from 42 provinces and municipalities. Among them, some 600 businesses and large-scale retailers are from HCMC, including Saigon Co.op, Vissan and MM Mega Market.
These firms will introduce various products, services, and special cultural traits in their region from November 17 to 20.
The program comprises five main events: the industry and trade conference of five municipal cities, the HCMC e-commerce business dialogue conference, the business-matching conference of HCMC and other localities, a Week of Specialty Products in An Giang and Dong Thap and the business-matching conference between those two provinces with HCMC.
The Vietnam E-Commerce Association and large e-commerce platforms such as Tiki and Shopee plan to organize discussions and dialogues to attract more products to the e-commerce channels.
According to Phan Thi Thang, vice chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, the program has entered its 11th year of organization with an impressive scale and a large number of contracts signed between enterprises in the localities.
The program plays an important role in boosting economic development by supporting enterprises to find new supplies of high-quality goods with competitive prices to serve the consumer demand in HCMC, especially in the upcoming festive season.
It aims to facilitate the connectivity between buyers and sellers, reduce expenses, promote goods circulation and contribute to establishing sustainable supply chains in the region.
The conference series will last until November 20.
