HCMC – Local consumers now have the opportunity to sample Canadian products at a three-day special promotion held by the Canadian Consulate General at Lotte Mart supermarkets in Hanoi and HCMC.
The program kicked off today, December 13, at Lotte Mart District 7 in HCMC, attended by Annie Dubé, Canadian consul general in HCMC, and Park Dong Hwan, director of product innovation at Lotte Mart Vietnam.
The program, coinciding with the Christmas shopping season, is also taking place at Lotte Mart West Lake, Tay Ho District, Hanoi.
The event provides consumers with high-quality Canadian goods, including seafood, ginseng, fruit, frozen beef, maple syrup, confectionary and health supplements, at discounted prices.
These products contributed nearly CAD423 million, equivalent to about VND7.7 trillion, in Canadian exports to Vietnam in 2024.
Consul General Dubé said the program reflects the growing trade relationship between Canada and Vietnam, resulting from a collaborative effort between the Canadian Consulate General and several distributors.
Vietnam is currently Canada’s largest trading partner within ASEAN.
