HCMC – HCMC yesterday, April 19, staged a special light art performance titled “Colors of the City named after Uncle Ho Chi Minh” in front of the HCMC People’s Committee headquarters.
This event was part of a series of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation. Thousands of residents and visitors gathered to witness the spectacle.
The city center became lively early in the evening. People and tourists converged on the main streets such as Nguyen Hue, the area in front of the City Hall (the HCMC People’s Committee headquarters). They sought the best spots to enjoy the performance.
The program commenced with a 3D mapping display on the facade of the City Hall.
Subsequently, other performances took place, including traditional folk art such as cai luong (a traditional Vietnamese genre of opera), hat boi (a genre of Vietnamese traditional drama) contemporary music, street sports, martial arts, and artistic gymnastics.
