DANANG – The Danang authority has ordered speeding up the administration of the fourth Covid-19 vaccine doses for citizens, even as the booster rates of people aged 18 and above remain low.
Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh requested the relevant departments and agencies call on citizens to get fully vaccinated, targeting to vaccinate 80% of the designated groups of people with the fourth shots before October.
Reportedly, the fourth dose rate of Danang City has reached just 47.9%, compared to the country’s average of 76.7%.
The priority groups for the fourth dose comprise teachers, people working at schools and education centers; people working in the transportation industry; people providing essential services; and people working at tourism businesses, shopping centers, supermarkets and markets.
The Danang Hi-tech Parks and Industrial Zones Authorities are responsible for directing their companies and enterprises to urgently require employees and workers who have not received the fourth shot to get vaccinated.
