HCMC – The Danang International Fireworks Festival 2023 (DIFF 2023) is set to take place from June 3 to July 8 next year by the Han River in the central city of Danang, after a two-year pause due to the Covid pandemic.
The People’s Committee of Danang said yesterday, November 2, that it had mapped out an overall plan for DIFF 2023, the local media reported.
DIFF 2023 will feature fireworks displays by seven international teams and the Danang-Vietnam team in five nights. Each team will display fireworks shows over the course of 20-22 minutes.
DIFF is an annual large-scale event that the central city’s government has hosted for 10 times. This international festival has contributed to making Danang a top Asian festival destination and promoting the image of Vietnam, including Danang City, to international visitors.
The fireworks festival is also considered an important factor to woo more international visitors to this Southeast Asian nation.
At the DIFF 2019, which spanned over one month in the summer, Danang served over 937,000 tourists and recorded an estimated VND3.2 trillion in tourism revenue.
