HCMC – The 2023 Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2023) officially kicked off on June 2, offering delightful experiences to locals and tourists after a three-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Taking place from June 2 to July 8 by the Han River in Danang City, DIFF 2023 features fireworks displays from a Vietnamese team and seven international teams from Britain, Italy, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, and Denmark.

Each team will have 20 minutes to light up the sky with a fireworks show at the festival, titled “Light Up The Borderless World.”

The opening ceremony of the festival has set the stage for fireworks display competitions between the Vietnam and Finland teams, themed “Peace for the World”.

Other teams will compete with each other next Saturday from June 10 to 24, under the themes “Love Without Border”, “Conquering Dreams”, and “Dance of Nature”.

The grand finale is scheduled on the evening of July 8, uniting all teams under the captivating theme “Light Up The Borderless World.”

Since its inception 15 years ago, the festival has become a major international event which teams from all over the world want to attend, Nadia Shakira Wong, event producer of DIFF 2023 said.

As Sun Group has been the sponsor of the event for years, Nadia appreciated the company’s contribution and hoped for more people to get involved in the festival.

“In a ship, there is only one captain, then Sun Group is the captain and we are all in together with Sun Group to make this show bigger and better”, she added.

During this year’s edition, Danang City will launch multiple cultural and entertainment programs, and music shows to offer new experiences to visitors, such as the Danang Electronic Carnival music festival, an online beauty photo contest, and the M-Pack Carnival and Street Food festival.
