HCMC – Danang City aims to attract 11.9 million visitors in 2025, a 10% increase against 2024, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.

International tourists are expected to account for 4.8 million, a 17% rise over 2024, while revenue from tourism services, including accommodation, food, and travel, is projected to exceed VND36 trillion, up by 15%.

South Korea is anticipated to remain the largest source of international visitors, contributing 35% of total arrivals. Other significant markets include China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan at 22%, Southeast Asia at 20%, and India at 8%.

To achieve these goals, Danang plans to upgrade key tourist destinations such as the Hoang Sa–Vo Nguyen Giap–Truong Sa beach route and the Nguyen Tat Thanh seaside corridor. Enhancements along the Han River banks are also in the pipeline to attract more visitors.

Major events scheduled for 2025 include the Danang International Fireworks Festival, Asian Film Festival, and Danang Food Tour. Other initiatives include launching new waterway tourism routes, direct international flights, and chado tours on Son Tra Peninsula.

The city is also integrating local agricultural products into the tourism supply chain to promote a circular economy.

This year, Danang has attracted an estimated 10.9 million visitors, a 32.8% increase compared to 2023. International arrivals are forecast to rise by 36.3% to 4.1 million, with tourism revenue estimated at over VND31 trillion, exceeding the year’s target by 10.8%.
