DANANG – Danang has signed cooperation agreements with three enterprises to step up communications, promote destinations and move toward building a smart tourism ecosystem.

Danang divides its communications campaign into three main activities, upgrading phase 2 of the virtual reality technology VR360 for sightseeing, promoting Danang’s tourism via television channels and improving the tourist’s experience.

To realize the objectives, the representative of the Tourism Promotion Center under the Danang Tourism Department signed cooperation agreements with Bizverse Technology Joint Stock Company, KKDay Vietnam Company Limited and VTVCab.

Collaborating with partners to improve the smart tourism experience for visitors to Danang is one way to accelerate digital transformation in tourism before moving toward building a smart tourist ecosystem, according to Tan Van Vuong, deputy director of the Danang Tourism Department.

The agreements aim to promote Danang’s tourism digitally and via television channels and run a communications program – stimulating tourism demand and promoting Danang’s tourism to domestic and international markets, especially Northeast and Southeast Asia, from 2022-2024.

At the signing event on September 15, Danang held a program entitled “Experience Danang’s tourism on digital space”, an upgraded version of the project, “One touch to Danang”, through a VR360 virtual reality tour and metaverse, a network of 3D virtual worlds.

After one year of launching “One touch to Danang”, the Danang tourism sector has seen over 18,000 downloads of the app. With the upgraded version, the project is expected to create a more authentic experience for tourists and enhance the tourism value in Danang in the years to come.

Today, the way to approach the tourism market is via digital transformation and the application of virtual reality. Tourism companies in Danang were the first beneficiaries of the city’s tourism digital transformation strategy in the past, shared a representative of the Danang Tourism Association.
