DGW to issue two million shares

HCMC – Digiworld Corporation (HOSE: DGW) is set to issue two million shares through its employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) at a heavily discounted price.

The company plans to offer the shares at VND10,000 each, far below the market price of VND64,500 per share as of today July 5.

Those shares not purchased by its employees will be distributed by the board of directors to suitable buyers under similar conditions.

The ESOP shares will not be transferable for one year. If employees leave the company during this period, the shares will be repurchased at VND10,000 per share and held as treasury shares.

This year, the company looks to book VND23 trillion in revenue and VND490 billion in profit, up by 22% and 38% over the same period last year, respectively.

In the first quarter, the firm posted around VND5 trillion in revenue and VND92 billion in profit, achieving 22% and 19% of their respective full-year targets.

The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 3.15 points, or 0.25%, to close at 1,283.04 points, with 182 winners and 231 losers.

The southern exchange wrapped up the session with over 616.5 million shares valued at around VND16 trillion changing hands, up 17.8% in volume and 14.18% in value over the previous session. Block deals contributed 27.29 million shares worth VND717.6 billion.

The VN30 basket supported the market with 15 bluechips rising and eight others dipping. The VN30-Index gained 5.55 points, or 0.42%, to end at 1,316.18 points.

FPT rose the highest among the 30 largest-cap stocks with a 2.1% increase, closing at VND138,700. Meanwhile, retail stock VRE was the biggest loser in the VN30 basket, dropping by 2.1% to VND20,800 per share.

Transport and warehousing stocks rebounded in the afternoon session, becoming the top-performing sector, with HVN posting a 6.29% surge and a trading volume of over 7.5 million shares. The air carrier stock contributed the most to the main index, at 1.25 positive points.

VOS hit its daily ceiling price, gaining 6.8% at VND20,500 per share, with over 11 million shares matched. Technology stocks were the second-best performing group, with many rising over 2%.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, 67 stocks advanced and 83 others declined. The HNX-Index gained 0.43 point, or 0.18%, to close at 241.31 points. Trading volume was over 58 million shares, valued at VND1.1 trillion.
