HCMC – The median on Truong Chinh Street at the Pham Van Bach intersection will be closed from April 4, restricting left turns to make way for the construction of Metro Line 2.

The Department of Construction announced the traffic adjustment on April 1 to facilitate building the S10 underground station (Pham Van Bach), part of the Ben Thanh–Tham Luong metro line.

Under the plan, vehicles from Pham Van Bach will not be allowed to turn left onto Truong Chinh, and traffic on Truong Chinh cannot turn left into Pham Van Bach.

To reduce congestion, the department announced alternative routes. Road users heading from Pham Van Bach toward Cong Hoa Street can turn right onto Truong Chinh and make a U-turn about 200 meters before the Truong Chinh–Tay Thanh intersection, or continue to the intersection to turn back.

Authorities advised road users to follow traffic signs, slow down, and comply with traffic control instructions when passing the construction area.

The S10 station is located near the approach area of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and marks the transition between underground and elevated sections of the line.

Metro Line 2 spans nearly 11.3 kilometers, with more than nine kilometers underground. The project, with total capital of over VND52 trillion, is scheduled for completion in 2030, connecting the city center with the northwestern area.
