HCMC – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Dien Bien Dong District in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien this morning, March 14, according to the Institute of Geophysics.
The quake occurred at 9:22 a.m. at a depth of around 13.2 kilometers.
In the province’s Dien Bien Phu City, most of the locals felt the tremor, which shook houses.
At the time, many people working in offices had to rush outside. Fortunately, the earthquake lasted around three seconds.
The institute’s Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center is monitoring the tremor.
