HCMC – DIGI-TEXX Vietnam on January 30 officially inaugurated its third operating facility, DIGI-TEXX Binh Phu, in HCMC, as part of its strategy to expand capacity for high-complexity, multilingual digital services serving international clients.

The new center is positioned as a specialized hub for data labeling and annotation for AI model training, content moderation for e-commerce platforms, as well as customer care and IT helpdesk services for the Asia–Pacific region. These service lines require high levels of accuracy, operational stability, and strict compliance with data security and quality standards.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Frank Schellenberg, Founder and Chairman of DIGI-TEXX, said the decision to establish the Binh Phu office was driven primarily by people rather than by physical expansion alone.

“When we decided to establish our presence here in Binh Phu, it was not simply a question of space or location. It was a strategic decision driven by people,” Schellenberg said. “Binh Phu brings together different cultures, languages, and generations, giving us direct access to talents who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow with us.”

Schellenberg noted that as DIGI-TEXX expanded its operations from Europe to North America and increasingly into the Asia–Pacific region, multilingual capabilities and cultural understanding had become central to its service delivery.

“That is why access to multilingual talent has become a critical part of how we grow and how we serve our clients,” he said. “The Binh Phu office is designed to support multilingual services, complex workflows, and high standards of data security and quality.”

The DIGI-TEXX Binh Phu office is located in Binh Phu Ward, an area part of the former District 6, known for its long history and culturally diverse communities. According to the company, this location offers access to a workforce with strong language skills and cultural awareness, an increasingly important factor in delivering digital services for global markets.

Covering approximately 600 square meters, the facility is designed to accommodate up to 500 employees operating on a 24/7 basis, in compliance with international management standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. The Binh Phu center completes DIGI-TEXX’s three-pillar operating model in Vietnam, alongside its headquarters at Quang Trung Software Park and its large-scale data processing center in Hau Giang.

Thomas Hofmaier, a shareholder of DIGI-TEXX, described the launch of the Binh Phu office as a milestone in the company’s long-term commitment to Vietnam.

“In the era of artificial intelligence, precision, security, and quality are essential,” Hofmaier said. “When we speak of ‘German Quality,’ we speak of a relentless commitment to discipline and technology. We bring global standards of German engineering to our processes to ensure data security and operational excellence.”

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in HCMC, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), and local authorities.

At the event, an AHK Vietnam representative said DIGI-TEXX reflected the ongoing shift in German–Vietnamese economic cooperation from traditional manufacturing toward digital services, data, and smart processes.

“Vietnam offers talent, speed, and ambition. German companies look for quality, reliability, and long-term partners—the key word is trust,” the representative said. “DIGI-TEXX brings these strengths together, not as a slogan, but as a daily business practice.”

DIGI-TEXX has operated in Vietnam since 2003 and is a German-owned provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and digital services. The company currently serves clients in more than 25 countries across Europe, North America, and the Asia–Pacific region, offering multilingual services in Vietnamese, English, German, Japanese, and Chinese.

In Vietnam, DIGI-TEXX is headquartered at Quang Trung Software Park and operates branches and centers in HCMC, Can Tho, and Hau Giang, along with a representative office in Japan. Its workforce in Vietnam now exceeds 1,000 employees, operating on a continuous 24/7 basis.

The opening of the Binh Phu office follows DIGI-TEXX’s recent expansion, including the launch of its Hau Giang operations center in 2024. According to the company, the expansion is aimed at meeting growing global demand for data-driven, AI-enabled, and BPO services, while reinforcing its long-term investment commitment to Vietnam’s digital services and data economy.

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) refers to the practice of companies outsourcing part or all of their non-core business processes to third-party service providers, rather than handling them in-house. Common BPO activities include customer service, data entry, accounting and finance, human resources, document processing, and IT support, helping corporate clients reduce operating costs, optimize resources, improve efficiency, and focus on core value-creating activities such as strategy, products, and markets.

With the advancement of digital technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—BPO is increasingly expanding into higher-value services, such as data labeling and annotation for AI model training and content moderation for e-commerce platforms, which are among the key functions undertaken by the DIGI-TEXX Binh Phu office. These services require specialized expertise and analytical skills, rather than purely repetitive work.
