Thuy Tien Lake Park is nestled at the base of Thien An Hill, a renowned ecological attraction in the central city of Hue.
Covering 50 hectares, the park features a forest, trails, and a large lake. Dominating the center of the lake is a giant dragon structure. Despite its potential, the park has been abandoned for decades due to ineffective management.
In 2016, the Huffington Post spotlighted the lake, drawing attention to its eerie charm. The article described the massive dragon structure, whose interior resembles a horror film set. Visitors can climb the dragon’s inner staircase for a breathtaking view of the surrounding forest.
Recently, local authorities announced plans to renovate the park. The renovation will include improvements to the trails around the lake, as well as upgrades to the lighting, water supply, and drainage systems.
