HCMC – To accommodate a surge in travel during the upcoming holiday, bus route number 109 connecting District 1 with Tan Son Nhat International Airport will operate around the clock for four days.
The Public Transport Management Center has announced that bus service hours will be extended to 24 hours a day from April 26 to April 27 and again from April 30 to May 1. This move aims to meet the increasing travel demand of residents during this festive season.
The first bus will depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 0:10, with the last departure scheduled for 23:59. Conversely, the first bus from Saigon Bus Station in District 1 will leave at 0:05, with the final trip departing at 23:45.
During the period, the route will offer 72 bus trips daily to and from Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
According to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Authority, an influx of approximately 687,000 guests is expected from April 26 to May 1, with an average of 120,000 guests per day. The airport will manage 4,280 arrival and departure flights during this time, with a majority being domestic flights totaling 2,678.
