HCMC – Bui Hai Huyen, vice chairwoman of FLC Group JSC (FLC), wants to quit as board member at HAI Agrochem JSC (HAI), citing her personal reasons, according to an HAI announcement released yesterday, January 11.
Her resignation request would be processed at an upcoming general meeting of HAI, an affiliate of FLC, said the HAI management board.
Huyen was picked as HAI chairwoman on October 17, 2018. Later, Nguyen Duc Cong took up this post on April 22, 2021 while Huyen has continued to serve as an HAI board member since then.
Huyen, 47, had held various key positions in the FLC ecosystem before being elected vice general director at FLC in December 2015. Five years later, she was appointed general director at FLC, replacing the then FLC vice chairwoman Huong Tran Kieu Dung. On July 2 last year, Huyen was chosen as permanent vice chairwoman at FLC at an extraordinary general meeting of the firm.
In the local stock market, HAI was suspended from trading its shares from September 9 last year due to violations of information disclosure rules.
The benchmark VN-Index on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange gained 0.63 points, or 0.06%, against the previous session at 1,056.39, with 156 advancers and 222 decliners.
Trade on the southern bourse contracted nearly 7% in volume and remained the same in value as yesterday, at more than 506 million shares and over VND8.7 trillion, including over VND945 billion worth of shares traded in block deals.
Among bluechips, a few staged a relatively good performance, such as lender VIB and State-run rubber group GVR rising over 2% each. Meanwhile, property developer KDH and consumer goods producer MSN fell 4.6% and 2.8%, respectively.
On the Hanoi exchange, with 57 stocks increasing and 77 others dipping, the HNX-Index added 0.28 points, or 0.13%, day-on-day at 211.94.
